Game Plan

Main Menu
The main menu will be my first screen.  On this screen there will be the name of my game and a button to go to the next scene.  The next button will lead to the introduction scene which is the next scene.

Introduction Screen
On this screen there will be three buttons to push. The buttons will be “Play”, “Help”, and “Difficulty” and when you click on the specific button, you will be sent to the page about the topic.  When you click “play”, you will go straight to the game to play it.  When you click on the “Help” button then you will be sent to a page on how to play the game and what your goals are.  And if you click on the “Difficulty” button then you will be sent to a screen with the difficulties of “Hard”, “Medium”, and “Easy”. The difficulty you choose will determine how hard or easy your questions are. With “Hard”, your game will have 15 questions to answer that can easy, hard, and medium difficulty.  With the “Medium”, you will have 10 questions that are between medium and easy difficulties.  And on “Easy”, there will be only 5 questions to answer which will be all easy.

Game
When you click “play”, you will be sent to the game.  The person coming in for the interview will walk in through the doors and sit down at the seat in front of the desk where the person interviewing you will be.  When you sit down a box will appear with three different kinds of jobs in it. The jobs will be “Accounting”, “Nursing”, and “Construction”. You click the job you want and then the questions will appear.  The point of the game will be to answer the questions right.  With every question right, you will get so many points that will be tallied at the top of your screen.  You will be trying to reach between 33 and 36 points, so the questions will be worth different amounts of points depending on the difficulty.  Once you answer the questions right and get the amount of points, then you will go to the next scene where you will be at the job site.  If you fail to answer the questions right and get the amount of points then you will see “Game Over” and will have to start over.

Game 2
Once you pass your interview, you will be at your intended job.  Since you answered the questions right at the interview, you should be able to do your job fine.  If you are an “Accountant”, then you will be at a desk helping people who come in.  If you are a “nurse”, you will have to go to different rooms and help patients and doctors. You might have to feed the patients or get doctors there papers.  If you are a “Construction worker”, you will have to help build buildings and make certain things. If you can’t complete these tasks, you will have to start over at the interview again.

Concept of the game

The concept of my game isn't too bad.  Most of the things I want to do, I already know so it should be easy to work with.  I plan on adding buttons and text to my game so you can click the button and text will appear.  Then you will click another button to get multiple choice answers to choose from.  I also plan on making the people walk but I already know how to do that.  If I can though, I would like to be able to move the persons legs so it will look more like they are walking.  But otherwise, I think I know how to do most of the stuff.

What's your feedback

My game demo presentation was filmed the other day, and I got a lot of feedback from it.  Some of the feedback was positive and some was negative, but now I know what to change.  They gave me some good ideas about how to make my game better.  I plan on changing my game a little bit now, in order to make more sense.  My main idea is the same, but I want to take some things out to make it better.  I think that the idea about putting in choices of jobs was a good idea, and I plan on adding it in.  That will make the game funnier, and it'll give the player more options to choose from.

Rich Blog

I have been looking around for a blog that matches mine but it's hard to find one.  Most of the other schools have only 5 or 6 blogs done, so it's hard to comment on their blogs.  And they write nothing about the topic, it's usually about something that happened to them in class that day.  I don't think I'm going to be able to comment on one of their blogs, so I might just have to comment on one of my classmates blogs.

Assembling demos

In making this demo, I feel I learned alot about my topic.  I feel I learned a good deal about what a person goes through, in the process of getting a job.  All the information I got was helpful and I now feel I have a good concept of my game.  I only wish that there was a little more info on the topic, but I still feel it had enough info to make my demo right.  I took the responsibility of looking up the information and finding out what to be in the game all by myself.  I had help from other sites, but I knew what to put in my game and researched to find it.  Next time I'm going to try to use the information I already know, instead of finding it from other sites.  It's not a bad thing to use other sites but I'd like to use what I know next time.

I just learned this

I have learned a lot about my game topic since I started this project.  The main thing I learned about my topic is that it is very hard to get a job in today's world.  I learned this from looking it up on wikipedia and other sources.  I believe that these sources are true because they were on reliable pages like newspaper pages.  Learning this really helped me to make this game and it was very informative to learn.

What's that sound

We are now learning how to put sound into our games to make them playable.  The sound will make help you better understand the game and all it's concepts.  And with sound, more people will enjoy playing the game because they can hear what is going on along with seeing it.  I enjoyed learning how to work with sound and now i can't wait to to put it in the real game.
